So I graduate from high school in three weeks! Super exciting stuff. I'm sorry I've been so bad replying to all of your messages. These past few weeks were the WORST. I had so many tests within 7 days of school. Three AP tests, two AP Bio finals, one AP Gov final, one AP Lit final, one math quiz and one Econ test. I hardly got any sleep and I really have no idea how I did on the majority of them... We'll see. Needless to say, I spent all weekend in bed watching movies.
 
I saw Gatsby! Liked it very much. Leo was a perfect Jay Gatsby. I'm OBSESSED with the soundtrack. I still want to see Iron Man 3, though. There are so many fantastic movies coming out! I'm personally excited for Catching Fire, The Bling Ring and The Mortal Instruments [CIty of Bones].
 
I got tickets to see Vampire Weekend in September! I'll be in college by then, which is so funny to think about. Anyways, I'm really excited because Ezra Koenig is basically my husband. If you ever need a laugh, stalk his Twitter feed. So good.
 
Haven't been doing much reading lately. I don't think I've read a single book all year, to be honest [DON'T TELL MY AP LIT TEACHER]! If anyone has book recommendations, let me know! I'm planning on spending this summer tanning on the beach, having adventures in DTLA, reading and relaxing before college starts.
 
Summer, summer, summer... So far, my plans are pretty open. I know I've got tickets to 1D in LA and I'm going to Hawaii just a week prior to the concert. After that, I'll be moving out of my house and into my new dorm! AHHHHH I'M SO EXCITED FOR COLLEGE IT'S RIDICULOUS!
 
ELTON JOHN IN VEGAS WAS AMAZING. I almost cried when he played Your Song because when I was like in the first grade, I decided I wanted that to be my wedding song. Haha, that or In My Life by The Beatles.
 
Speaking of concerts, I'M GOING TO SEE DARREN CRISS NEXT WEEK! I love Darren Criss. And AVPM. He's just wonderful.

i went to PASSION PIT's LA concert last night with a friend and was totally blown away! we got there pretty early [after having 2 drinks at starbucks each] and as part of the first 100, we got into the pit, free of charge. while my legs are still sore from standing for so long, and some of the people and things going on at the concert were kinda sketchy [LOL], i had SO much fun. passion pit [especially michael angelakos] is AMAZING live -- in my opinion, even better than they sound on their albums. highly recommend going to see them :3
 
i've been so busy with work lately, it's ridiculous. but i'm hoping to continue writing this new story! hopefully i'll get some more time, although today marked exactly TWO MONTHS until I graduate from high school, which is a pretty crazy concept to me. who knows, maybe i won't be able to write until summer... which is sad, because ahh don't max and emilia look great together? ;)
 
I've been obsessed with downton abbey lately! and still finishing up my parks & rec. hoping to return to friday night lights soon. i'm also planning on watching the latest hart of dixie episode this weekend! AHHHH so excited!

from the very beginning of high school, i was burdened by the idea of college and the need to excel. i killed myself with classes and stressed out every hour of the day, constantly plagued with worries of what i needed to do next. to do lists covered my walls. my planners were covered in colored markings. i never went out on the weekdays and hardly on the weekends [or so it felt like] because i always had so much work to do. i would wake up with a scowl because i was so exhausted, living off of the bottled starbucks frappuccinos from costco [which, by the way, you CAN get sick of if you drink too much] and coming home to crash for a few hours right after the day was done. when i look back at high school, i feel like it was a marathon of schoolwork, volunteer work, SAT prep, soccer practices... i really don't know how i managed it all.
 
oscar wilde once said, "To live is the rarest thing in the world, most people exist, that is all."
 
it's time for some "me" time. it's time for some TREAT YO SELF days. it's time to make the most of my last two months of high school and make some unforgettable memories. i made this little post to put as my iphone background to remind myself to relax and stop stressing out, to be happy, accept love and give love. it's nice to take a moment out of each day and recognize the good in the world :)

I AM WRITING!
 
As someone who has not written since she left Polyvore last year, this is BIG. No, I have not made a lot of progress but I have started to formulate ideas and put them into words. It's different than from what I usually write -- romancey, fluffy kind of stuff [although it incorporates some of that] -- it's kind of dark... but I'm excited to work on it. Two of the main characters are inspired by -- yes, you guessed it -- EMILIA CLARKE AND MAX IRONS, my two favorite people at the moment. Well, I'm always obsessed with them but it wasn't until recently that I paired them together.
 
I AM NOW ON SPRING BREAK! I will be leaving for San Diego tomorrow morning. San Diego isn't that far away so it's not a huge deal, but I'm just happy to get out of here so I can finally relax a little. Although I still have 3 chapters of AP bio to study over break... LE SIGH.
 
I've been watching Parks & Recreation on Netflix and I love it so much. Fun fact about me: As a kid, I had a massive crush on Rob Lowe [who, yes, is old now] because my family would watch The West Wing [which I now watch] and Sam Seaborn was the perfect man in my eyes. Still kind of is.
 
MY ADMISSION PACKET CAME IN THE MAIL AND I'M GOING TO MY DREAM COLLEGE AND IT'S ALL SO REAL NOW. I am so excited.

so this past month has been a difficult one. i haven't been on poly much at all. my tumblr's been a lost cause for a few months now. sorry about that. just thought i'd give you all a few updates on my life in case anyone cares --
 
1. my dog died after being attacked by a rottweiler last week. which is why i've been AWOL for a while. may he rest in peace.
 
2. on a less depressing note, i've been obsessed with eliza doolittle and her entire album lately. "pack up" is obviously one of my favorites but i love all of her songs. do they sound like they should be featured in target commercials? yes. do you always wanna listen up upbeat, cheery kinda music? no. but when you're in the mood, you should check her out, she's pretty great.
 
3. i watched the entire first season and 17 episodes of the second season of hart of dixie. i love rachel bilson... new style icon! idk what it is with me and loving small towns like the one in gilmore girls [and the one in this show, which is the same set as gilmore girls -- fun fact! CWTV uses the same set for several of their shows]. i love wade [wilson bethel]. but jonah breeland is pretty hawt, and i also love george...
 
4. because scott porter, who plays george, also plays jason street in FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS which i've been obsessed with. i just finished season 1 tonight and GUGHAGLKSFjlasjflf so many feelings. TO ANYONE READING, you SHOULD GO WATCH FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS. it is by far the most underrated television show ever. it deserves so many awards. i'm in love with the taylors -- coach taylor and mrs. taylor, played by kyle chandler and connie britton. they are fantastic. and uhmm taylor kitsch as tim riggins. you gotta see him. he's got that smoldering, brooding sort of hotness about him.
 
5. i also finished the first series of doctor who! i've already watched 5 and 6 -- i started with matt smith -- and then now i'm working my way forwards from the very beginning. christopher eccleston! also super underrated as one of the doctors. i quite liked him. now onto TENNANT! wooooo!
 
6. SPRING BREAK PLANS! i am going to the hotel del coronado over break. yayy! not too far away from home but i'm gonna get some time to relax, which is great. @luxecouture totally made me think of you & alexa maye :)
 
7. lots of TV watching my goodness... i've rediscovered korean dramas and i'm obsessed. BUT HEYYYY! i've decided that over the summer, i'm going to take a course in korean so i can finally learn my native language, as i may journey to seoul myself next summer!

I told you I would make you a binder cover a while ago and I finally got around to it, just in time for your birthday! Remind me and I'll email you a larger copy that you can print out or something. I promise I will make you an ACTUAL set -- you know, with clothes and stuff -- and perhaps a behind-the-scenes, never-before-published scene of CF :3 But hopefully this will do for now!
 
HAPPY BIRTHDAY! I can't believe it's been so long since I first met you in NWH. Years have passed, yet in my mind, we're still Oli & Serena ;) We are twinsies in so many ways! We have the same taste in music, books, boys... It was so lovely to meet someone on here who got me in so many ways.
 
And JACKAYJAH FOREVER. We've had so much fun in roleplays together. I'm sad that that is no more, but I'm glad both of us are still writing. Poly really has brought us closer together! Thank you for brightening up my days :)
